| About | Born and raised in Whitefish, Don joined the Marines after high school. He then moved to Reno NV where he met and married his wife Mariana. They relocated to Sacramento where he worked for the state of California for 32 years. He also worked in concessions for the NBA Sacramento Kings for 24 years. Don loved the outdoors: gold panning, metal detecting and birdwatching. He often went camping in state and national parks. He joked he was a suburban farmer, planting a vegetable garden in raised beds, creating a mini orchard of fruit trees and keeping several chickens. After he retired, Don started building a VW trike until he was diagnosed with a terminal form of throat cancer. |
| Events | Don was buried with full military honors and his ashes interred at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA |
