About | George L. Pfingsten, the son of George and Leona Miller Pfingsten, was born in Fairbury, Neb. on Nov. 27, 1941. He died Oct 12, 1998, at Jefferson Community Health Center in Fairbury at the age of 56 years. He grew up on farms in Thayer and Jefferson counties. He attended District 55 school in Jefferson county and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1959. He worked for both the Rock Island and Burlington Northern Railroads as a brakeman/conductor. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Barry; and brother, Alvin and Larry. Survivors, include two sons, Jimmy and his wife Christine, and their children, Skye and Sierra, of Oregon; Quinton and wife Kippie, and their daughter, Marly of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and daughter, Mardee and her husband Max Thompson, and their children, Micky and Max; brother Delbert and wife Janice of Fairbury; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Oct. 14 at the Fairbury Cemetery, with Lana Likens officiating. Family members were pallbearers. |
