| About | Karen Jane (Kellogg) Murphy, 67, of Fremont went home to her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Karen was born to Ron and Orleatha (Gravel) Kellogg in Grand Island on June 14, 1949. She moved with her family from Fullerton to Fremont in 1951 and was a graduate of Fremont High School. Karen married Dennis Murphy on June 15, 1979. She was a loving grandmother/mother to her two grandsons, Reise and Reilly, and a devoted caregiver to her mother. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Murphy of Fremont; grandsons, Reise and Reilly Murphy; mother, Orleatha Kellogg of Fremont; brother, Douglas Kellogg of Fremont; stepson, Scott and wife, Vickie, Murphy and family of Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Kellogg; son, Chad Waddell; and daughter, Megan Murphy. |
