| About | Donna K. Hammer, 73, of Mt. Vern9n, Illinois passed away on August 2, 2020 at her home. Donna was born on November 8, 1946 in Spaulding, Nebraska to the late Lawrence and Mary (Gordy) Strehle. Donna graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1965. She married Michael “Mike” Hammer on October 30; 1965. Donna travelled with her husband conducting fundraising for various police organizations. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband of fifty-four years, Donna is survived by her children, Michael Richard Hammer and Mickelyn Smalley, both of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren; brother, Richard Strehle of Grand Island,.and her puppy, Baby. As per wishes, she was cremated and no services held. Hughey Funeral Home was in charge. |
