About | Janice K. Perkins of Cairo died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at home after a battle with cancer. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Janice K. Niemoth was born on July 23, 1947 in Grand Island to Wilmer & Verna M. (Hellwege) Niemoth. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church on August 17. 1947. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus on March 26, 1961. Janice graduated from Grand Island Senior High school in 1965. Upon graducation, she worked for Jack Bailey Studio. The rest of her career was spent working for the Bell System in Grand Island, Greeley, Colorado and Omaha. She retired from US West in Omaha on August 29, 1997. She was united in marriage to Jim Perkins on March 1, 1974. Jan's true joy was her famly and she loved spending time with all her relatives. Survivors of her immediate family include her husband, James R. Perkins, a son, Nicholas of Overland Park, Kansas;a daughter Jody of Lee's Summitt ,Missouri, a stepson & stepdaughter-in-law, Rick & Heather Perkins.a sister & brother-in-law Connie & Larry Shields of Olathe, Kansas; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Bob & Marilyn Niemoth of Shawnee, Kansas, Ron & Bea Niemoth of Seward and Terry & Trish Niemoth of South Bend, Kansas |
