About | Max Elvis Mitchell,71, of Kingsport, entered eternal life on May 20, 2018, He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and was a long time resident Fort Collins, Colorado before retiring to Kingsport, Tennessee in 2006. He served in the United States Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War. Max owned and operated many businesses in his life, He was an active member of the MUFON and held various leadership positions and often appeared as a guest speaker on various radio shows. Max enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max Frederick and Geraldine Perry Mitchell . He is survived by his wife, Laura, brother, Daniel Earl Mitchell; daughter, Tammari LaSharr and husband,Rick of Kent, WA; their, grandson Josh and wife Haley and great-grandchildren, Brielle; daughter, Heather and husband Gary McNew and grandson, Nathan of West Palm Beach ,FL; daughter, April and husband Joey Gomez of LasVegas, NV and grandchildren, Abby Moore, Vincent and Dominick McLlvenny. He is also survived by his step children, Raymond and Elizabeth Terranova. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory maybe made to the Salvation Army 505 Dale Street, Kingsport, TN 37660. The care of Max Mitchell and his family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. |
