About | Stephen A. Glade 64, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of St. Francis Memorial Health Center in Grand Island. Mr. Glades wishes were for his body to be creamated. A private family committal will take place in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Stephen was born October 20, 1946 in Grand Island to Fred M. and Amanda D. (Pedersen)Glade. He was baptized into the Episcopal faith. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School with the class of 1965 and attended the University of Nebraska. He and Debra Webben were united in marriage on April 23, 1977. He held several manaagement/financial positions until purchasing the Vic's Corn Popper franchise for the Grand Island & Kearney areas in the mid 1980's, owning and operating this through the 90's at which time he purchased Budget Printing Center, which he owned and operated until his death. Steve had many loves in his life, the most of which were his family, his work and the people he met through that, and his passion for restoring old automobiles. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife Debra; three sons and two daughter-in laws, Christopher & Miriam, Stephen & MaryJane and Andrew; three daughters and two son-in-laws, Gretchen & Derek Diehls, Katy & Tareq Wafaine and Bailee Su; a brother Fred Glade and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dixie Campbell and Kathy & Larry Huwaldt. |
