Terry Claus, 57, died Monday (6/20/05). Born, Grand Island, to Paul A and Lenora H. (Trautmann). Graduate of Grand Island High in 1965. Married Jean Leonard 1969. Served in the U.S. Navy, 1966-1970, photo intelligence officer, serving mainly in the Philippines and aboard the USS Constellation during the Vietnam War. Earned his B.A. in art from Hastings College, 1974. Working in the commercial printing field for various companies: Dutton Lainson Co., Ag-tronic Co., both Hastings; Maverick Media, Syracuse; Omaha Printing; Lincoln Journal Star, Oak Creek Printing. Terry's favorite hobbies were drawing and painting, designing "Claus" cards, golfing, hiking/jeep trailing in Colorado, coin and stamp collecting, antiques and cribbage. Terry was a longtime member and board member of the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln, Lincoln Center. He was active in many of the club's activities and had chaired the annual golf tournament more than once. Terry's favorite activities were always ones that involved his wife, Jean; son, daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary, Boulder,Colo.; son Trent and girlfriend Jamie McConnell, both Lincoln. Terry also is survived by his brother, sister-in-law, Paul Jr. and Theresa, Lincoln; his sister, brother-in-law, Judy and Peter Sorensen, Plymouth, Wis. |
