| About | Royce Hansen, of Kearney, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hope evangelical Free Church in Kearney with Pastor David Dickinson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Royce passed into the loving embrace of our Lord on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Kearney. He was born October 20, 1961 in Minden to Ingward and Mary (Frecks) Hansen, the youngest of four children, Joyce, Richard, and Ron Hansen. Royce was a loving and mischievous person who loved a good joke. He loved to cook and was very good at it, well enough to have been a great chef if he had had a mind to it. There were a few restaurants that were blessed with his cooking skills. There were a variety of jobs that he worked at, but found happiness doing his job at Crossroads Center in Kearney. He attended school in Minden but did not finish, however in 2006 he proudly earned his G.E.D. He will not walk these roads with us again but when we join him in Heaven he will welcome us with open arms. He was loved by many. Rest in peace Royce you will be missed by family and friends. Royce is survived by his daughter, the light of his life, Allie Nitz of Hickman, NE, sister, Joyce Rundle and husband Greg of Mexico, NY, brother Ron Hansen and wife Barb of Minden, NE, sister-in-law Dee Hansen of Minden, NE, niece, Dawn Gibbs and companion Richard Preeman of Maple View, NY, nephews, Vincent and wife Becky Harris of Heartwell, NE, Justin and wife Cheryl Hansen of Arlingon, TN, and Samuel and wife Jessica Hansen of Minden, NE, 11 great nieces and nephews, 6 great great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Royce was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. |
