About | Paul Donald Hassett, 59, of Grand Island died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, as a result of a car accident. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Valentine. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine. Mr. Hassett was born Dec. 28, 1947, at Lawrence, Kan., to Joseph E. and Beulah Bell (Kaiser) Hassett. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Rhonda Hassett; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kami Hassett of Mullen, James and Cathy Hassett of Hershey and David and Amber Hassett of Doniphan; three sisters, Geraldine, Jean and Susan; and three brothers, Jim, Jack and Howard. Additional survivors include five grandchildren, Ashley, Alisa, Abby, Dylan and Clayton. He received his schooling from Mullen Public and Kearney State College. He married Kathie Wright and they had three sons. He married Rhonda Cherry on June 20, 2005, at Valentine. He was a rancher. The organizations he was involved with included AQHA, Sharptail Shootout of Mullen, Mullen Public School System and Faternal Order of Eagles. He hobbies were breeding and raising American Quarter Horses and dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
