| About | Gerald “Joe” Pinneo age 63 of Lincoln, NE died Friday, December 18, 2009 in Lincoln. He was born December 4, 1946 at York, Nebraska to James Alvin and Mamie Etrice (Wallace) Pinneo and graduated from York High School in 1965. Joe was a member of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. Joe had previously worked at Champion Home Builders in York, at the Capital Mail Room in Lincoln, and various other jobs. Joe enjoyed volunteering at the Matt Talbot Home in Lincoln where he always helped others. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his son Lydell and his wife Crystal Pinneo and their children Desiree and Clayton of York and his daughter Brittany Pinneo and her fiancé Mike Vogelgesang of Wanblee, SD; four sisters include: Mae Gray of York, Patsy Rempel of Seward, NE Linda Duell and Barb Matlock both of York; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Arlin, Donald, Kenny and Danny, and sisters Jeannie, Betty, and a sister in infancy. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Terry Cosier officiating. Military Interment was in the Vernon Cemetery southeast of York with memorials being directed to the family for later designation. |
