About | Birth: Death: Terrance M. Flannigan, 30, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Auburn, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at his residence. He was born in Springfield April 12, 1959, the son of J. Robert and Rosemary Mayol Flannigan. A resident of Reno, Nev., since 1977, he taught computer mathematics and served as track coach and chorus director at Clayton Junior High School for six years, and at the time of death was employed at McQueen High School, Reno, Nev. A graduate of Auburn High School in 1977, Mr. Flannigan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno. He was involved with the Springfield Muni Opera, Springfield, for several years, the Nevada Opera in Reno and the Nevada Repertory Co., Reno. He sang in the choir at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral and at his local parish, St. Theresa, Reno. Preceding him in death were a brother, John Robert, in 1951; grandparents, Alexander Mayol, in 1965; Gladys McCarthy Flannigan in 1980 and Walter Flannigan in 1937. In addition to his parents of Auburn, surviving are four sisters, Deborah Flannigan and Deloris "Dee Dee" Codron, both of Auburn, Kathleen Flannigan of San Diego, Calif., and Coleen Dunning of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two brothers, Timothy Flannigan of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Patrick Flannigan of Champaign; a grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Mayol of Springfield; six nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles. Memorial services will be conducted at the Carmelite Monastery, Reno, Nev. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Benedict's Church, Auburn, with the Rev. James Kondrath officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. |
