March 10, 1954 - February 18, 2023 Fred Glen Vosburg passed away in his home on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving daughters. Fred was born on March 10, 1954 to Fred Kay Vosburg and Barbara Lou (Fries) Vosburg in Rupert, Idaho. Fred grew up in Declo, Idaho and moved with his family to Sparks, Nevada at the age of 10. Fred attended Sparks High School where he was an excellent athlete, lettering in football and basketball and was named MVP of the football team his senior year. Following his graduation in 1972, Fred worked many construction jobs, including owning his own cabinetry business, until joining Washoe County Roads in 1989. Fred loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many camping trips with his family. He loved being a grandpa and loved to watch his grandsons play ball. He could always be relied upon to rescue his daughters from flat tires and empty gas tanks. If he was not outside, Fred could be found watching sports, old westerns and a good old fashioned rom com. Fred is preceded in death by his father, Fred Kay Vosburg. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Trevor) Bradshaw and their three sons; Christina (Alan) Griffith and their two sons; his mother, Barbara Vosburg; his sister Debbie (Steve) Sydenham; and his brother Gary Vosburg; as well as many extended family and friends. A memorial will be held in his honor Friday, March 3, 2023 at 1pm at Mountain View Mortuary. |
