About | Nancy Lorraine Martinelli has passed away from complications due to long-term dementia. She was born in Reno, Nevada on August 29, 1933, to Herbert and Corrine Moore. She was raised in Sparks where she attended all Sparks schools and graduated from Sparks High School in 1951. She met the love of her life Elmo in high school, and they were married in 1954 upon his return from the Army. Their union was blessed with four beautiful children. Nancy was a stay-at-home Mom with a full-time job caring for a home, husband and four growing children. Once the children were raised, she went to work for Homestake Mining Company as a secretary and remained there until her retirement. She and Elmo loved to travel and visited many European countries, Turkey, China and the Holy Land. They also traveled travelled throughout the United States, Canada and Alaska in their motorhome. They were avid mountain climbers, including Mt. Whitney and longtime members at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Nancy was always proud to talk about her 4 holes in one. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her beautiful daughter Julie, her sister Barbara Canady and her granddaughter, Erin Martinelli. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, her sons Greg (Becky), Craig, her daughter Sheila Caramella, sister Linda Tucker, 5 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great grandchildren.
