About Gwynne Llewellyn Gorton, 69, of Hooksett, NH, passed away suddenly, October 2, 2021.

Born in Manchester on June 24, 1952, she was the daughter of the late David Llewellyn and Thelma C. McAuliffe. She was raised in Manchester and lived in Hooksett for over thirty years with her loving husband Al and her lovely cats, Mambo and Neeko. She worked in the Finance Department at P.W.C. for over thirty years, where she excelled in her role.

Gwynne filled the lives of her family and friends with love, laughter, and wisdom. She was a ray of sunshine and spread her light wherever she went.

She had a love for boating, dancing, but her family most of all. Her favorite place was the Isles of Shoals, where she’d spend time on her boat, “Seanote” with her husband, Al. She was a member of the Hampton River Boat Club where she made many friendships.

Gwynne also had a passion for ballroom dancing. She was the happiest when she was dazzling on stage with Theo Martinez, her dance instructor and friend.

She was a member of Brookside Congregational Church where she served on many boards/committees and was very involved in the music program. She loved singing in the choir at Brookside. She was also a member of the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 in Manchester and Kappa Delta Phi- NAS (formerly Kappa Sigma Phi), from her alma mater Plymouth State University.

Supporting cancer research was something near and dear to her heart. Gwynne was very active in the Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

Family she leaves behind include her loving husband, Al; her son Fred Gorton (Dawn). Her grandchildren Jack and Gracie Gorton. Her sisters, Gayle Llewellyn, and Lori Yob (Steven); brothers Peter Llewellyn (Carol) and David Llewellyn. She also leaves behind her special nephew, Christopher Llewellyn who was like a son to her, several nieces, nephew, great nieces/nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
