A lifelong resident of Newton. Son of the late Clarkson L. "Bud" Crawn and Lillian M. (Sliker) Crawn, he was a 1969 graduate of Newton High School. Linn also attended Bordentown Military Institute and was a graduate of William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Mr. Crawn worked as a mason for Bob Poe Masonry for 15 years. For the past 32 years. Mr. Crawn was a dedicated assistant wrestling coach for Kittatinny Regional high School. A passionate gifted athlete, Linn was an inductee of both the Sussex County Sports and William Penn University Halls or Fame; he was a three letter star athlete in High School, where he play football, baseball and wrestled. He also was the NAIA National Wrestling Champion of 1974. Linn was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also was a member of the Sigma Phi Sigma fraternity. Predeceased by his brother Gary Crawn, in 1996. Linn is survived by his brothers, Doug Crawn of Montague and Larry and his wife, Rita, Carwn of Newton; and his sisters, Linda Crawn of Manahawkin, and Kathy J. Crawn Wattle and her husband. Louis of Newton. He also is survived by his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Services Tuesday Aug 14, at 11 am at Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St., Newton.
