About |
Jay was in a number of plays while at RHS and was an honor student. He lived in Wychoff. After high school he attended Cornell University where he was a chemistry major. He found his calling with the Wyciffe Bible Translators and spent the time until his passing translating the bible into the language of a tribal group in Viet Nam. Initially he worked with the group in country and was evacuated to the Phillipines where he continued this work with refugees. Eventually he and his wife, Dorothy, also a member of the Wycliffe Bible Translators, settled in the Des Moines IA area where many of these refugees from Viet Nam had located. The exact date of his passing I do not know, but I had been able to locate Jay and his wife about a year previously. |
