Pedro Perez Esquibel passed away peacefully in his home on May 1st. In Artesia NM

Pete was born, August 19th, 1952 in Artesia NM, to Manuel and Rosa Esquibel. Pete was a life long resident of Artesia. Serving in the Navy from 1971-1975. He was also a man of god, serving the lord in many ways, like ministering to so many young adults and spreading god's word-bible studies. Singing and praising the lord in the church choir, "The Base"!

Pete was known as Brother Pete, to the adults, "Papo" and Popo to his grandchildren. Loved his family dearly, had a heart of gold. Who would always go above and beyond for all of them. Selfless, our dad the best dad, Papo, popo, brother, uncle, friend, a person could ask for. The love he carried for his family, was unconditional and that is what we will forever carry in our hearts.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Rosa Esquibel, wife Pam Peters, brother Manuel Esquibel Jr, sister Margie Segura, and nephew Javier Jose Lopez.

He is survived by his daughter Angela, and husband Dusty Letcher, son Pete Esquibel Jr, and wife Lace. Granddaughters Allee Mishelle and Ethan, Makyla Rae and Carlos, Alex, Jennah. Grandsons Dominic and David. Great Grandson Dior Ray. His brother Alex and Wife Lucia, Rick and wife Connie from Austin, Joey Esquibel, sisters Mary Flores, and Andrea Ybarra, Luci Ybarra and husband David, Erma Lopez Christine Stromme from Austin and Baola Olson and husband Michael from Las Cruses, Last but not least- numerous nephews, nieces, and great nephew and a whole bunch of gods children.
