She was my best friend from 1st grade on. We used to play in the woods and make trails all day. As an adult she was a mom of 2 and a RN. We'd go to the gym and she helped me study for the RN boards while we were on the tread mills. I got married, moved, and when I divorced moving back to Amsterdam... I strted looking for her to see if she wanted to go to the gym again. She passed away from brain cancer. While sitting at her wake I learned that before her dx she had returned to hiking with such passion. Her ashes were scattered on one of her favorite trails. |
