Dorothy M. Farrell, age 100 of Lewiston, died Friday September 5, 2014 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born March 6, 1914 in Phelan, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Alexander and Harriet (Michimen) Eastman. She came to the United States with her family in 1927 and she graduated from Academy High School in Clarence, NY in 1932. She married Chester J. Farrell in 1935 and lived in Niagara Falls until they moved to Lewiston in 1941. A homemaker, Dorothy's family meant the world to her as much as her beloved First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston. She was one of the eldest members after 73 years of membership. She was very active in her younger years with dinners, teaching Sunday school and the Eastern Star. Her greatest joy was hosting many dinners and creating great memories for her family. Her husband, Chester predeceased her on May 3, 1981. She is survived by her sons, Jerald (late Susann) Farrell of Lewiston and Jack B. (Louise) Farrell of Hudson, FL; a granddaughter, Jody (Kevin) Krueger of Lewiston; a grandson, Jack Farrell, Jr. of Florida; and her great grandchildren, Konor and Dylan Krueger , Kaitlyn and Davon Farrell. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. |
