| Events | WOLFE - Peter J. Passed away peacefully on August 2, 2019 in Clarence, New York. They called him "Sunshine" because he brightened every room he entered. Enjoy every day, appreciate every person you meet and leave them with a smile, work hard for those things you think are important, and take time to observe the wonders of nature all around you. Those were the rules he lived by. Dearest husband of Elaine (nee Flesher) Wolfe; beloved brother of Mary J. Hausherr (late Tom); loving uncle of Amy S. Wisner (Scott), Sarah B. Hausherr, Daniel T. Hausherr and Richard S. Macoomb. Special great-uncle to Kai S. Wisner and Taryn A. Wisner. Peter had a life insurance and investment business, was a member of Clarence Rotary (five-time Paul Harris awardee), a shooting member of the Country Club of Buffalo, and also a member of North Forest Gun Club, Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Pheasants Forever. He served as chairman of the Town of Clarence Conservation Advisory Council and the Town of Clarence Recreation Committee, the group that won a New York State award for its Green Print program for preserving green space in the Town of Clarence. Peter was a board member of the Clarence Concert Association and the Friends of Clarence, Inc., and a member of both the Clarence Arboretum Design and Review Committee and Arboretum Advisory Committee. In 2007, he and his wife were named "Lifetime Achievers" by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce. Funeral Services will be private.
