About | Anna Marie Lennon, a registered nurse with a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, died Saturday after a 1 1/2-year battle with cancer. She was 64. Born Anna Marie Stevenson in Kenmore, Mrs. Lennon was a 1968 graduate of Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Professional Nursing, and worked in the Millard Fillmore-Gates Circle Open Heart Intensive Care Unit until 1980. She returned to the University at Buffalo and obtained an undergraduate degree in patient education and her master’s degree to become a certified rehabilitation counselor. With her graduate education and certification, she initially was employed as a program supervisor for Horizon Human Services. She then worked for Intracorp as a nurse/case manager and rehabilitation counselor.
