About | Brent Moreland left us to be in the presence of the Lord on February 3, 2021. He was 57 years old. He was born on February 24, 1963, in Findlay, OH to Fred Goodart and Maxine Kraft. Brent loved to laugh and make people laugh and there was no way to keep him from talking to anyone around us. He would use English, Spanish, ASL, or even charades if he needed to; he had the biggest heart. Brent loved his family deeply and in the only way he knew how to. He absolutely adored nature (camping, hiking, and exploring), and in every gathering, whether by the grill or the campfire, his joy was to serve. Brent battled for his health for the past 20+ years, but he truly struggled this past year, more than he let people know. His death was terribly unexpected even though we knew that his quality of life was not what all of us longed for him to have. We deeply mourn the memories we won't get to share with him (his son, Marcos, graduating from high school nor his newborn grandson, Pace, taking his first steps). We know that he is finally healed and made whole in the joyful company of his Father in Heaven. Brent was a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where he obtained his Master's Degree in Hospital Administration. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from SUNY Plattsburg. In his childhood and teenage years, Brent was a swimmer. Brent's prominent skills in the sport earned him countless awards and a place in the Maryland State Championship. Nonetheless, Brent's greatest pride was his children, for he gave all he had to be father they needed. Brent is survived by his wife and son, Hezir Aguero-Moreland and Marcos D. Moreland; his daughter and grandson, Kahli F. Moreland and Pace Costello Riley; his mother, Maxine Moreland; and his baby brother, Dana Moreland. Our family wishes to thank all those who loved and cared for Brent throughout the years, among them, our friend Yvette; may God repay you. We will gather at a private time to honor his life. Your prayers are much appreciated. Arrangements by Rochester Cremation. |
