Graduation Year Class of 1967
Date of Passing Oct 04, 1998
About She was working in Human Resources at the University of California in San Francesco. She was married to David Stead. She did not have any children.
Events She was previously the chief of labor and employee relations at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco, where she worked from 1978 until 1990.
Highly regarded for her analytical skills, Ms. Baker also was extremely popular with her colleagues.
She was valued at UCSF not only for her professional accomplishments and contributions, but also for her caring and ready wit," said Randy Lopez, assistant vice chancellor of human resources at UC San Francisco. "Liz will be missed as a colleague and as a contributor in human resources. More importantly, however, we will miss her friendship -- she could always be counted on for a joke or a smile that would brighten our day."
Her comedic gifts were well known around the Bay Area. In addition to her professional life, she was an improvisational actress and mime who appeared frequently on stage in the local improvisation community as well as at street fairs and festivals throughout the Bay Area.
