About Esther Daggett Reynolds
Esther Daggett Reynolds, 47, passed away peacefully November 6, 2007 at Hospice House in Auburn, ME, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 2, 1960 in Niagara Falls, NY, Esther attended local schools prior to her family’s move to Wilson, NY, where she was a 1978 graduate of Wilson Central School. There, she made many lifelong friends with whom she enjoyed many adventures on the shores of Lake Ontario. After attending SUNY Canton and Niagara University, where she earned a 1982 BA in Travel Management, Esther embarked on a career as a travel agent in Lockport, NY that afforded her the opportunity to travel the world. In 1989 Esther moved to Maine where she met her future husband, Mark at LLBean. They married in 1992 and shared the joys of raising their two beautiful daughters, and building a home together in Sabattus, ME.For 17 years, Esther worked within the Sabbatus schools and shared her passion for reading as a highly-respected Special Ed teacher. She also volunteered tirelessly to create the town’s first library.A longtime Buffalo Bills’ fan, Esther asserted her independence during Patriots’ games with family and friends - all avid Patriots’ supporters - one more example of Esther’s loyal and independent spirit that will be sorely missed.Esther is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Mark E. Reynolds of Sabattus; daughters, Erin (13) and Kelly (11); her devoted parents, Clint and Nancy (Saunders) Daggett of Shapleigh, ME; sister, Lorrie Vedral and husband, John of Bar Mills, ME and their children, Julia, Emily and Johnny; brother, Clint Jr. and his wife, Cath of Yarmouth, ME and their daughters, Susannah and Lily.
