Passed away at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington following complications of a bone marrow transplant. He was diagnosed with leukemia (CML) in October of 1985, and received the transplant in January 1990 at UKMC. He was a graduate of UNC-CH and employed by BB&T for 22 years. Survivors: wife, Pat Keaton Winn (now Altman),Raleigh; son, Daniel (deceased 3-25-2009), and daughter, Clair Winn Green, Raleigh. Parents were Gothard and Myra Winn (both deceased) and sister, Jane Winn Thompson of Cary, NC. |
