About | It is ironic that John is the one who posted info about Andy Cool, and now John himself has passed on: John A. Kimmel of Mt Sterling passed away unexpectedly on December 16th at home. He was born October 31st, 1950 in Lima, Ohio to William R. and Wanda I. (Hall) Kimmel. On March 13th, 1975 he married his loving wife Carole Link who also survives. John was in the real estate business for most of his life. He worked for Ron Spencer Real Estate, CountryTyme Realtors, and was an independent real estate buyer/developer. He was currently a seasonal employee with the State of Ohio at the Deer Creek golf course near Mt. Sterling. John graduated from Allen East High school in 1968. John was many talented individual. He was a naturalist, nature photographer, enjoyed gardening, star gazing, painting, fast cars, and outdoor family activities. John was an excellent story writer, artist, collector, and loved decorating his home for Christmas. He enjoyed cooking, bird watching, with his wife, family and friends. John had befriended hundreds of people in his community and through facebook sharing his wonderful photos and stories. John's most treasured role in life was being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was extremely proud of the accomplishments of his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He loved all of his family and friends and always made time for others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. John's survivors include: four children, Dave (Tonya) Rahrig, Julie (Steve) Liskany, Charity (Troy) Coffey, all of Grove City, Ohio and Megan Kimmel of Phoenix, Arizona. Seven grandchildren, Thomas, Brydan, Campbell, Holland, George, Scarlett, and Grant. His father, William Kimmel, brother, William (Sheila) of Lafayette, two sisters, Deborah Bucher of Findlay, and Jennifer Palmer of Lafayette. John was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Kimmel and son, Bryan Jacob Kimmel. |
