About | TrumanErnest Virden “Ernie” age63 passed away on October17, 2021 following a suddenillness that he battled to thevery end. Born on December1, 1957 in Sistersville,WestVirginia to the lateMelvin & Mary “Patsy”Virden. Ernie was a 1976graduate of AllianceHighSchool and was retiredfromFedEx Freight. Heloved riding his Harley andone of his most memorablemoments in life wastraveling cross country onhis bike with his friends toSturgis, South Dakota. Heenjoyed camping and riding4 wheelers in West Virginiawith family. He loved todance and accumulatedmany friends through theyears as he was a long timemember and board memberof the Cleveland/ AkronSwing and Hustle Club(CASH Club) and the CASHBASH dance event. He hasheld offices as President,Vice-President, and 2ndVicePresident from 1999-present.He was a huge part offorming the Cash Bash dance event and took over asEvent Director in 2011 andheld that position ofPresident till present time.Most importantly his greatlove in life was his 2grandsons Austin andNathan, he lovedeverymoment of being agrandpa “G-pa”. He issurvived by his onlydaughter Shannon (John)Grooms, Sister Glenda(Tim) Shellenberger,grandsons Austin Groomsand NathanMulinex, greatgrandchildren Violet andAshtin Grooms. specialnieces and nephews Jeffrey(Sabrina) Trissel, Melissa(Fritz) Trissel and JosephTrissel, along with manyaunts, uncles, & cousinsfrom Canada, West Virginia,Florida & North Carolinaand an enormous amount ofextended family and friends.Ernie had a great love forfamily especially his motherwhom he cared for after hisfather’s death in 2017 untilshe joined him in 2020. Hewill be remembered as a funloving kind hearted son,father, brother, uncle, cousinand friend with a smile thatcould light up any room. Pleasecome and celebrate Ernie’slife with visitation onOctober 29, 2021 at AlmostHome Event Center, 230 S12th Street Sebring, from4p-530pm. A FuneralService will follow at530pm with ChaplainFreddie Rodriquezofficiating.
