About | William "Will" Howard Sayre, age 63, of Nelson Twp, passed away Monday morning, September 11th, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 17th, 1954 in Chardon , Ohio. He resided in Geauga County for most of his life. Will joined the U.S. Army in 1972 where he became a red beret in the 82nd Airborne Division. After serving in the military, he studied the Bible and was baptized. He was a self-employed contractor and remarkable mechanic who could repair or build anything. He loved wildlife, including Penelope, the baby deer he rescued, and his many cats. Will is survived by: his loving partner, Theresa Bolyard, her daughter, Jolene and granddaughter, Courtney; siblings, Jerome (Debbie) Sayre Jr., Ellen (Richard) Shepherd, Lu Ann Currence, John (Kathy) Sayre, Melissa (Rick) LaDow, Peter (Sheila) Sayre, Heidi (Tom) Sanda, Laura Pierce; plus many nieces and nephews whom he loved. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jerome and Joe Ann (Davis) Sayre; brother, David Sayre; and nephew, Shaun Sayre. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service, location to be announced. |
