About | Dean E. Pipher, 44, of 31 1/2 S. Marion St., Bloomville, died Saturday morning, July 29, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born June 6, 1962, in Parma, to Carl Pipher and Joanna Rinker. Survivors include: his mother, Joanna Rinker Vance of Bloomville; his stepfather and stepmother, Bill and Shelley Vance of Bloomville; a daughter, Khristin Hitt of New Castle, Okla,; two brothers, Lee (Joyce) Pipher of Attica and Billy Vance of Bloomville; two sisters, Heather (Jason) Hood and Deidra Vance of Bloomville; two grandchildren; five nephews; and one niece. Mr. Pipher was an avid softball player and participated in the World Series of Softball and also an avid golfer and won many golf awards. He was a member of the Swack Shack softball team in Bloomville and the Duck Inn softball team in Tiffin. He was a 1980 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a Little League Baseball Coach in Bloomville. He was the bar manager of the Swack Shack in Bloomville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006 at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19 Bloomville, with the Rev. Cathy Wirth officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. |
