| About | Obituary for Darla Jean Gavrun Darla Jean Gavrun, age 58, of Allegan, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 surrounded by her family. Darla was born March 13, 1959 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Gale and Donna Kay and had lived in the area the past 25 years. Darla loved animals, antiquing, gardening and especially spending time with her family. Surviving is her loving husband of 20 years, Peter; 5 children, Kristina (Tony) Stevens, Richard Adams, Peter (Scott) Szurek - Gavrun, James (Melissa) Adams, Adam (Erin) Gavrun; 14 grandchildren; her mother, Donna (Charlie) Burnside; siblings, Rickey, Michael, Terry, Rhonda, Jeana, Jill, Jamie, Jackie. She was preceded in death by her father, Gale Vernon Kay; a brother, Donald Wayne Kay; a sister, Jodie; a nephew, Erick Kay; and a cousin, Johnny Saurbry. The family will meet friends on Saturday, April 8th from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mallory Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation. |
