About | David Jeppe, 74, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2024 peacefully in his sleep. Dave was born on October 17, 1949 the son of Nancy and Raymond Jeppe in Geneva, Ohio. After Dave graduated from Geneva High School in 1968, he went on to enlist in the United States Air Force. He served in South East Asia during the Vietnam War until 1971 as a C-130 engine mechanic, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5). After returning home, Dave went on to study Urban Renewal at Kent State University, graduating in 1979. Dave and Alice met and married on August 28, 2010, joining their large families. When Dave retired from Grand River Rubber he spent his free time traveling, camping, taking photographs, and visiting his family all over the country. Dave was a big history buff, loving everything Civil War related. He also enjoyed watching sports including the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, and the Ohio State University Buckeyes. At one time, he played in an adult softball league as a catcher. Dave was also fond of watching his children in their various activities and sports. Dave enjoyed having a good conversation as well as arguing, playfully enticing others. He loved his beloved dog Tia. He is survived by his wife Alice Jeppe; son, Adam (Lori) Jeppe, daughters, Brittani (Scott) Leopold, and Courtney (Thomas) Kluz; mother, Nancy Jeppe; son Joey (Denise) Herron; grandchildren, Eric Jeppe, Dylan and Nik Storme, Felicia Jeppe, Nora and Elsie Leopold, Doug (Bethany) Hayhurst, Molina (Jesse) Creaman, Briana Creaman, Marc (Kenzie) Wilson, Alicia (Kevin) McLaughlin, Joey (Kate) Herron, Thomas Herron, Kerstin Herron, Isabella Herron; sister Jan (Gary) Kotila and their daughter Sarah; brother George (Marty) Jeppe; great-grandchildren, Nova, Jase, Rockne, and Kane; special family dog, Teha and many beloved family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his dad, Raymond Jeppe; daughter, Tonya Herron; son Thomas Herron and maternal grandfather, Robert Lyle Beight. |
