About | CHARDON — Geneva L. "Dinky" Kirby, age 41, of Geneva Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at UH-Geauga Hospital. Geneva was born May 30, 1972, in Chardon, Ohio, to Donald W. Bender and the late Carol D. (nee Bright) Woodford. She attended Geneva High School, graduating in 1990. Geneva was attending Indiana Wesleyan University, where she was close to completing her associate's degree in Business Management. She was the operations manager with Bescast, Inc. in Willoughby. Geneva was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Her family will remember her as an inspirational leader. She was very spiritual and had a high level of faith in Christianity. She loved horses. Geneva enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her boys and grandson. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jason Kirby; and sons, Jason (Amber) Kirby II and Derek Kirby, all of Geneva; grandson, Jacob; father, Donald W. Bender; sisters, Terri Lee (Andy) Lanier of Georgia, Sandra (Michael) Galloway of Geneva Township, Angela (Tom) King of Madison and Erica Bender of Perry; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol D. Woodford; and two sisters, Carol Ann Bender and Jennifer Louise Bender. |
