About | Laura Jean Chubb, 62, passed away on June 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 1, 1961, the daughter of Robert and Judith (Gianantonio) Ebersole and had been a lifelong Ashtabula County resident. A 1979 graduate of Geneva High School, she worked 19 years for Brighter Horizons before retiring as a manager at the agency. She loved her clients dearly and they became a second family to her. Laura loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Carson. Carson loved her blond hair and her jewelry and had gotten her a ruby necklace that she treasured. She also loved her dogs, Brewster, Lulu, Ozzy, and Zelda. Decorating for the holidays was a favorite hobby for Laura and Christmas was always her favorite (she had the best collection of ugly Christmas sweaters). An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she enjoyed crocheting and shopping, especially for shoes and clothes. In her spare time, she loved to watch movies and her crime TV shows like Law and Order and Criminal Minds. Her survivors include her spouse, Madalynn Snyder; two children, Maryssa Colucci of Ashtabula and Aaron Smith of VA; her mother and stepfather, Judith and Richard Parker of Willoughby; one grandson, Carson Smith; two sisters, Valerie Markgraf of Geneva and Jennifer (David) Knaus of Willoughby; and her nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jeff Markgraf; her father, Robert Ebersole; and her grandparents, Edwin and Lillian Gianantonio. |
