About | Betty Lou Walker, age 58, of Gibsonburg, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on September 26, 2014, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born October 20, 1955, in Wheeling, West Virginia to Martha (Robert) Tacey. Rainbows, Betty Boop, koalas, anything purple, candles, the Pittsburgh Steelers, animals, boating, banana nut bread, candy, music and movies were all favorite parts of Betty's life. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her best friends and she theirs. Betty was always there for anyone in need, whether it be a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, or even a couch to sleep on; Betty took care of everyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. With an "angels will guard you" and a kiss right on the lips, she left behind a legacy of non-judgmental caring and compassion. Betty is survived by her loving children, Brandi Wagner, Tonya (Todd) Schauwecker, and Shad Goldsby; stepchildren, Kristina McDougall and Maranda McDougall; grandchildren, Shaylynne Myers, Michael Goldsby, Felisha Goldsby, Branden Wagner, Sydney Schauwecker, and Blake Schauwecker; step grandchildren, Zackary and Karissa, Joshua and Mareagan; great-grandchildren, Jace and Addilynne Shank-Myers; sibling, John (Angela) Walker; sisters-in-law, Debbie Walker and Sandra Walker; many close nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-of-the-heart, in-laws, and friends. She will join her parents, Martha and Robert; grandparents, and siblings, Harry (Debbie) Walker and Lois Walker. A memorial celebration is planned for Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Woodville Legion Hall 455 N. Elm St. Woodville, Ohio. Memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. Appetizer pot-luck to follow service. Betty earned her registered nursing degree from Owens Community College and dedicated most of her life to caring for elderly patients. She had a special place in her heart for those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and dementia.
