William "Bill" Colyer, 51, of Genoa, Ohio, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at his residence. Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio, September 24, 1958, to William Donald and Phyllis Jean (Ziegler) Colyer. He married Diane M. Schwartzwalder in Latcha, Ohio, June 5, 1987. For 27 years, Bill worked as a machinist at J & S Industrial Machine. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Latcha, and a 1976 graduate of Genoa High School. He loved going to the family cottage in Bird Lake, Michigan where he enjoyed boating. Bill loved to eat ice cream, watch sports, and was a Pittsburg Steelers fan. Most of all Bill loved being with his family. Survivors include, wife, Diane M. Colyer, sons, Jason Robert and Andrew William Colyer, brother, Donald (Nancy) Colyer, sisters, Sharon (Darryl) Bittner, Arlene (Glen) Slusher, sister-in-law, JoAnn Jankowiak, father-in-law, Robert (Barb) Schwartzwalder, God Daughter, Reagan Guthrie, 4 nephews, 4 nieces, 11 great nieces and nephews, and special friends, Glen Slusher, Greg Smith, Kenny Swartz, and Bill Carr. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for Bill will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in Latcha, Ohio. Visitation will be in Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa, Ohio on Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. and Monday, March 8, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Genoa Athletic Boosters, or Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha, Ohio. |
