About | Carol Ann Hansen, 61, of Genoa, Ohio, formerly of Marion, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. Carol was born to Edwin and Esther (Strawhacker) Hansen on April 2, 1947. She was a graduate of Clay-Genoa High School. She worked at MARCA in Marion for 28 years and was currently employed as a cottage supervisor at the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, where she also worshipped with the residents. Carol was active in the Marion Community Theater for 30 years and was involved in many theater productions. In addition to the theater, she enjoyed many crafts including spinning, weaving and knitting. Carol is survived by her sister, Ellen Polsdorfer, nephews, Jim (Becky) and Roger Polsdorfer (Lori), niece, Linda Posey (Jim), three great nephews and two great nieces. Her parents preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, with burial to follow in Allen Township Cemetery. In memory of Carol, the family suggests contributions to the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. The family would like to thank all of Carol's caregivers at Hospice, especially Cathy and Rachael. |
