About Charles R. Fletcher, 63, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013, surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Fremont, Ohio on March 29, 1950, to Joseph and Florence (Darr) Fletcher. Mr. Fletcher was a 1968 graduate of Genoa High School. Bob worked for GTE, Huston Refuse, and the former Star & Lil's Restaurant, Genoa. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was active with the funeral luncheon ministry. Bob was a member of Genoa Knights of Columbus Council #4237, where he served as Grand Knight and was a member of the Lake Erie Chapter Degree Team. He was also a retired member of the Clay-Genoa Volunteer Fire Department. Bob is survived by his siblings, Mary Reetz, John (Lynne) Fletcher, and Joe (Sandi Zunk) Fletcher; sister-in-law, Juanita Fletcher; nieces and nephews, David (Sara) Fletcher, Joseph Reetz, Kelly Fletcher, Angela (Josh) Baltzell, Jason Fletcher, and Dylan Fletcher; and great niece and nephews, Sydney, Jacob, Jackson, and Grayson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald J. Fletcher; nephew, Donald J. Fletcher Jr.; and brother-in-law, Larry D. Reetz. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, (east of I-280) on Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 1:00-8:00 p.m. A scripture service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., followed by a fire department memorial service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 South Main Street, Genoa, where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Station #3. Bob's family wishes to thank the staff of Orchard Villa for the compassionate care he received over the past year.
