About | David J. Wilka, age 65, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on June 26, 1947, in Port Clinton, OH to James and Betty (Shanke) Wilka. Dave married Margaret Hiser on June 25, 1971 in Pemberville, OH and she survives. He retired on June 30, 2012, as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker, having worked for the former Auto Alliance International of Flat Rock MI now known as Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Dave's memberships include: First United Presbyterian Church of Pemberville, OH, UAW Local 3000 Flat Rock Assembly Plant and had also been an Eagle Scout. In his spare time he enjoyed playing 3 card poker, bingo, trapping, hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. Most of all, spending time with his family brought him his greatest joy. Surviving along with his wife of 41 years, Margaret are children, Jennifer (Jeff) Jackson of Pemberville, OH, James (Katie) Wilka of Monclova, OH, Jaclyn (Travis) Ford of Pemberville, OH, and Julia (Jonathan) Gust of Point Place, OH; grandchildren, Madeline, Lucas, Kristin, Katelyn, Alicia; mother, Betty J. Wilka Winters of Pemberville, OH; sister, Margie (Raymond) Moore of Toledo, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon (Nancy) Hiser of Gibsonburg, OH, Paul (Joyce) Hiser of Oregon, OH, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James and a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald (Susie) Hiser. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. James Miller. Interment will be in Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 220 Cedar Street, Pemberville, OH immediately following the cemetery committal services.
