| About | Dennis "Pete" L. Schmidt, 53, of Curtice, died Thursday, December 30, 2004. Pete was born August 4, 1951, in Toledo to Peter K. and Dorothy J. (Younker) Schmidt. On December 29, 1977, in Williston he married Nancy L. Arquette and she survives. Pete had worked as a custodian at the former Riverside Hospital in Toledo until 1977, retiring due to disability. He was a 1970 graduate of Genoa High School and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston. He enjoyed working on older cars and owned a 1955 Chevy utility sedan. Pete also enjoyed spending time with his friends and listening to classic rock music. In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by his son, Doug (Jenny) Schmidt of Elmore; daughter, Danielle (Malcom) Harper of Curtice; grandchildren, Dustin, Riley and Julia; and sisters, Vicky (Sam) Zambrano of Curtice and Jane (Michael) Lentz of Williston. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2005, in the Robinson-Henn-Brossia & Walker Funeral Home, Genoa. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005, in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston. Interment will be in Allen Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation of Northwest Ohio, St. John Lutheran Church, or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #1, Williston |
