About Fred C. Bringe, 72, of Martin, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on the family farm in Martin, Ohio, on July 4, 1938, to Clarence and Lillian (Dipman) Bringe. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Genoa High School where he was a lifelong member of the FFA. On March 4, 1961, he married Margie "Sunshine" Carr. Fred was a lifelong farmer, raising grain, produce and livestock. He was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church, Elliston where he served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee and as a Trustee. On March 21, 1977, Fred was elected to the Board of Directors of Genoa Bank, where he was elected chairman of the board April 21, 1997. Fred served on the Ottawa County Soil and Water Conservation Board, Ottawa County Conservation League, Luckey Farmers Board of Directors, and ASCS Agricultural Board. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, and wintering in Ft. Pierce, FL. His true passion was spending time with his grandchildren on the farm and attending their sporting events. Fred is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margie; sons, Clarence (Audrey) and Kevin; daughter, Kimberly (Keith) Traver; grandchildren, Kayla and Megan Bringe, Blake, Eric, and Colleen Traver; sisters, Marion Rudes, Margie Greuel, and Becky (Dick) Jensen; and brother-in-law, Charles Johnson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Elizabeth Witt, Marvel Johnson, and Leila Reeder. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Wednesday, January 26th and Thursday, January 27th, from 2:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, January 28th, in Zion United Methodist Church, Elliston where friends may call after 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio
