Joseph Edward Casares, 58, of Genoa, Ohio passed away September 29, 2007, to join his family behind the pearly gates of heaven. He was born on December 24, 1948, in Fremont, OH to Edward and Mary (Castilleja) Casares. Joe was taken by an unforgiving disease that he battled for two years. He was a strong family oriented man, hardworking and a born again Christian who served the Lord. Joe was raised in Genoa, OH, where he graduated from high school in 1968. Joe was a journeymen sprinkler fitter and worked for Local Union #669 for many years and also sold life insurance part time. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and also enjoyed playing pool and was an excellent boxer and was Golden Glove Champion in 1965 to 1967. Joe tried to do the best in everything he chose to do. Joe was kind, sweet, caring, smart, unselfish, and his beautiful smile was loved by family and many, many friends. Surviving are his brother, Jerry Casares; sister, Linda Casares; daughters, Tina and Gracie Casares; sons, Joseph and James Casares; grandchildren, Victor Mitchell and Christian Casares; aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Marcos; parents, Edward and Mary Casares; brothers, James and Leo Casares. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery |
