About Kenneth Alfred Rossler Sr., 74, of Oregon Ohio, passed away peacefully on January, 17, 2012. Kenneth was born to Alfred and Lucy (Paulsen) on April 20, 1937. Survived by brothers, Ron (Margie) and Dan (Sue). He graduated from Clay-Genoa High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook and later was employed by Seaway Foodtown where he retired after 35 years of service. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter for many years at Oregon's Sta. #1 and was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Kenny Rossler enjoyed life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Included in his many interests were boating as an active member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club and camping, where after many years of enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends he became a volunteer camp host at Maumee Bay State Park. Also among his interests were cooking and sharing his creations with others. He gained notoriety for his outgoing personality, humor, generosity and culinary skills for hosting an annual soup party for family, friends and friends of friends.... for 35 years. Among the highest of Kenny's core values were hard work and reliability, traits he diligently sought to instill in his children and grandchildren. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean (LaPlante); children, David (Marcia), Paul, Pamela, Donna, Kenneth Jr. (Betsy), Gregory (Debbie); 11 grandchildren, David Rossler Jr., Katelyn (Josh Behnke), Anna (Andy Brandt), Rachel (Joseph South), Courtney, Ben, Madeline, Jamie, Laura, Nicholas and Noah. Funeral Services will be private for the family. Arrangements were handled by Freck Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Building Fund
