Randolph "Randy" H. Rudes, 66, of Martin, Ohio, died Tuesday evening while playing golf at Chippewa Golf Course in Curtice, Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 13, 1947 to George H. and Marion H. (Bringe) Rudes. Randy married Paulette M. Oberhaus in Williston, Ohio on March 8, 1968, and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2009. Randy had worked for Chrysler Corp. for 40 years, starting on the manufacturing line at the Perrysburg Machining Plant and working his way up to an executive position at Chrysler World Headquarters in Pontiac, MI. After his retirement he worked for 3 years at Genoa Bank, retiring in 2012. Randy enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing pool with his friends and family. And as he always said, "I hit a home run once." Survivors of Randy include his daughters, Angie Jimerson, Laurie (Doug) Dangler, MD, Abigail (Jeremy) King, and Lindsey (Tom) Milam, mother, Marion H. Rudes, grandchildren, Greg, Tim, Becca, Nick, Evan, and Sarah, sisters, Connie (John) Moore, Amy (Marty) Sutter, and his lady-friend, Peggy Streight. He was preceded in death by his father, George Rudes, wife, Paulette Rudes, and sister, Jaquelyn Rudes. |
