Robert A. Gerkensmeyer Jr., 32, of Martin, OH, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1973, in Oregon, Ohio to Robert A. and Janet (Barror) Gerkensmeyer. Bob was a 1991 graduate of Genoa High School. He was employed as a machine operator for Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Perrysburg, OH. Bob enjoyed reading, playing cards and was currently busy restoring his 1969 Charger. Survivors include, parents, Robert A. and Janet Gerkensmeyer of Martin, OH; sister: Robin (John) Coleman of Martin, OH; special nieces: Madelyn and Molly; step sisters, Diane (Jim) Dolan, Joanne (Bob) Steadly, Julie (Gary) Janick. Also surviving are many other loving family members. Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florence and Harold Barror, Ruth and Herman Gerkensmeyer; his uncles, Paul and Bill; aunt, Shirley, and cousin, Lindsey. The family wishes to thank all of their family, friends and neighbors for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 26, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Simpson at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Genoa. Interment will be in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family has suggested memorials in Roberts Memory to a charity of the donor's choice. |
