William E. Angel, 76, of Port Clinton, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Emil and Helen (Henninger) Angel. Bill was a 1951 graduate of Genoa High School. On February 23, 1957, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he married Agnes McManus and she survives. Bill worked for 20 years at LOF, retiring in 1970. In his retirement years, he owned and operated campgrounds, along with mobile home parks including Greenwood Mobile Home Park, Genoa and The White Caps Motel, Marina, and RV Park, Port Clinton. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying boating, fishing, hunting, and was an avid baseball fan. For many years, he coached baseball in Curtice. His true passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Aggie; children, Wade (Lynn) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Ward of San Diego, CA, and Dawn of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Wade Jr. and William of Wesley Chapel FL, and Alex of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Mickey (Robert) Schmidt of Pearson FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Andrew Angel. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Friday, September 17th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Allen Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Stein Hospice, Genoa Athletic Boosters or charity of the donor's choice |
