About | Eleanor "Ellie" Turner Penn, 77, of New Boston, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Lons and Hazel Clevenger Turner. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School, worked many years in the insurance business and was a life-long member of the New Boston First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Charles Penn; a sister, Deloris Salyers; and a brother, Elwood Turner, all of New Boston; three nieces, Lynn (Rod) Chamberlin, Janet (Dan) Fetty and Linda (Benji) DeCamp; four nephews, Terry (Jinny) Salyers, David (Linda) Turner, Jimmy (Rose) Turner and Larry Turner; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, who will sadly miss Aunt Ellie. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with the Rev. James Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday noon to 1 p.m. at D.W. Swick in New Boston |
