| Events | A celebration of life service for Ronald E. Sillin, Sr. 63 of Newark will be held at 7 pm. Friday, February 3, 2012 with Pastor Paul Skraggs officiating. Mr. Sillin died Friday January 27, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 15, 1948 in Granville, Ohio to the late Fred and Elma (Faller) Sillin. Mr. Sillin has been employed the last 17 years as a clerk and certified small engine repairman at Main Hardware. He was a member and past officer at the Newark Eagles, a lifetime member of the Druids, a member of Crimestoppers and a volunteer at many of the downtown Newark functions. Ron enjoyed helping others throughout his life. He is survived by his children, Ronald (Karen) Sillin of Newark, Richard (Melissa) Sillin of Heath, Charles (Jennifer) Sillin of Newark, Terry (April) Landis of Newark, Myra (Henry) Hazelton of KY, Michelle (Shane) Shipley of Newark, Misty Rigney of Newark; fourteen grandchildren;girlfriend, Kandy Smith of Newark; ex-wife Linda Sillin and Lee Price of Newark. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street. Newark Eagles will conduct a service at 6:30 p.m. |
