Jamie R. Fitch. A funeral service for Jamie R. Fitch, age 46, of Granville died unexpectedly March 30, 2010 at his home. He was born January 18, 1964 in Coshocton County, Ohio. Jamie was a graduate of Green High School located in Uniontown, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University and a Master of Science degree in Management from Johns Hopkins University. After graduating from Kent State, Jamie worked for Motorists Mutual Insurance Company as an underwriter and was promoted to training specialist. Jamie began his career with the United States Secret Service in the Columbus, Ohio Resident Office on July 3, 1989 as a Special Agent. He was transferred to the Detroit, Michigan Field Office and was then transferred to Washington, D.C. where he served in the Intelligence Division and the Vice Presidential Protective Division. He was promoted to the Boise, Idaho Resident Agency as a Resident Agent and was transferred back to Washington, D.C. and was promoted as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Liaison Division. He was then transferred to the Columbus, Ohio Resident Office where he was currently the Resident Agent in Charge. Jamie was a true family man. He was a very adventurous person and loved the outdoors, white water rafting, biking, water skiing and sports. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newark. Jamie was very proud to work for the United States Secret Service. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lisa J. (Potts) Fitch; two daughters, Taryn and Sara; parents, Raymond E. and Joan J. (Bowers) Fitch of Coshocton; brother, David (Jerri) Fitch of Warsaw; sisters-in-law, Pamela Fitch of Coshocton and Bambi Fitch of Coshocton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale F. and Mary Jane Potts of Canton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beverly Trizzino and former husband, Donald Trizzino of Canton and Cindy (Gene) Reeder of Canton, Marnie Potts of Canton and Scott (Melany) Potts of Louisville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Cathy Jo, two brothers Doug and Daniel and brothers-in-law Dale Randy Potts and Marty Potts. |
