Jeffrey A. Barbour, 48, passed away November 20, 2012. He was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. Jeff served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a computer forensics technician. He was an avid outdoorsman! Jeff brought the adventure of Spelunking, Backpacking, Camping, and Rock Climbing, and Rappelling to all of his friends. He trained in cave rescue, cave conservation and was also trained as a first responder. Preceded in death by sister, Jill Frost; and nephew, Brandon. He is survived by mother, Judi (Richard) Frost; father, Allen Barbour, of Uniontown; brother, Scott (Christine) of California; nephew, Noah; step brothers, Jack, his children, Jesseca and Victor, Rick Frost and his daughter, Alexandra; nephew, Bobby Frost; and special lifelong friend, John Cadle. Private graveside services and burial were conducted at Hillside Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Mogadore VFW Post #8487 conducted military rites. The family suggests memorials to Akron Children's Hospital Burn Unit. |
